Irvine Bulloch CSN American Civil War

Dear Sir,

I am interested in the American Civil War and believe Liverpool has ACW links.  I am trying to locate the grave of Irvine Bulloch who I believe died in Liverpool.  Can you assist me in locating the site of his grave.

Information required on Sgt Thomas Leonard Lever from Wavertree

Hi,

Can you help me or at least point me to someone who may be able to?

I have been researching the crash of Wellington bomber T2905 in Bristol on 30th April 1941 and have produced a website about the crash. My grandfather, Charles John Clarke, was the front gunner and died in the crash. Two of the other five crew died in the crash and I have been trying to trace any of their surviving relatives. One of them, Sgt Thomas Leonard Lever, according to the RAF was from Wavertree. All I know about him is from his gravestone (see photo below), which is in Toxteth Park Cemetary (Sec. 8. Cons. Grave 671) . I also have a photo of him (see below).

Yours,

John Clarke

Nurse child/adoption practices in Liverpool 1860s 70s

Hello

I'm researching my family history and trying to find out more about my gt grandfather, who is listed as a nurse child in Liverpool in the 1871 census and then as an adopted son in 1881. I've been trying, so far without success, to learn more about nurse child/adoption practices in Liverpool at the time and wondered if anyone associated with the LHS would be able to help.

I'd be grateful for any information or leads.

Best wishes

Williamson Square theatre

Dear Liverpool History Society,

I was recently told that on the site of JBB Sports store in Williamson Square stood a theatre. Do you know what the theatre was called or anything about it history.

Best wishes

Need information on Chadwick 1725 map

I was curious to know if you know of anyone or maybe yourself that may know anything about this map... I have a few questions, like how many originals were made, did they ever make reproductions, how can I tell if this map is authentic. There is an antique store here in the states, the owner is from England and is selling this map she says it is original but I doubt it. Thank you for your help.

Sincerely,

Ryan Griggs
